Over nutrition in the elderly

Malnutrition
also includes over nutrition, which is the excessive intake of nutrients. It is
also associated with eating too much food and hence an excessive intake of many
nutrients. Overweight in elderly people does occur but is more common in young
elderly (Smith, 2008) and is associated with a high incidence of osteoarthritis
in the knee (Felson, 2008).
