Company is a leading international publishing company that specializes in
travel related trade magazines, enewsletters and websites targeting
professionals in the industry. GM is looking to add new titles to its
portfolio.

The Opportunity:

As we continue to
expand our print and digital media initiatives we are currently seeking a
Public Relations & Marketing Manager to work in our publishing team.

This is a chance for
a highly motivated individual to join a unique company. The position will
primarily involve interviewing, feature/news writing, building relationships
with advertisers (i.e., via phone, trade shows, emails, directories and
research), brainstorming ideas for promotional emails, contributing editorial
ideas and being available to travel to international events and trade shows.
 Reliability, honesty, punctuality and determination are traits which are
taken seriously at our company. Some writing, editing and proofreading skills
are also required.
 

Experience:

The ideal candidate
will demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and be
able to project a professional image to our clientele. We’re looking for
someone who doesn’t mind hard work and constructive criticism.

Minimum eight years of experience in public relations and marketing, preferably
in trade publishing.
·        
Comfort and/or experience with all forms of digital communication, including
websites and social media.
·        
Great organizational abilities as well as strong computer skills.
·        
Outgoing personality and comfort in social settings.
·        
Strong work ethic and ability to adapt in a constantly evolving publishing
business.

Requirements:

Interview by phone, email and during tradeshows.
·        
Must be able to cold call.
·        
Ability to develop and maintain positive client relationships.
·        
Prioritize and meet tight deadlines.
·        
Attend industry events and conferences, international travel.
·        
Maintain detailed records.
·        
Work well in a team environment.
·        
Friendly, social and outgoing personality.
·        
Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, Word and the Internet are essential
(experience using Salesforce is an asset).
