with PACs, teachers and students, transforming their school garden space into
outdoor classrooms that are fully utilized and integrated into the school

EarthBites is looking to hire a person for the role of Nutritionist. This
position delivers lessons to students in participating EarthBites schools and
some evening and weekend workshops. We are looking for someone who enjoys
sharing with children their knowledge of healthy whole foods and a sustainable
food system. This means we’re looking for someone who can:
• Plan and deliver fun and age appropriate nutrition lessons to students,
• Collaborate with other EarthBites team members to share ideas and to enhance
and develop curriculum for the program overall and,
• Work with children, volunteers, and school administration to ensure the
program is carried out in an exciting, educational and safe manner.
As an EarthBites Nutritionist you:
• Possess an education in the field of holistic nutrition
• Have a proven ability to teach children of varying ages
• Have a strong interest in environmental issues, urban sustainability and food
security
• Are a team player and a decisive leader
• Are creative and enjoy exploring new ideas
• Can accommodate a flexible schedule
• Exhibit excellent communication skills.
• Have an interest in First Nations culture
• Display reliability and punctuality
This is a part-time position (10-15 hours/week) and someone with a flexible
schedule is needed (some months there may be more work than others). There is a
potential for evening and weekend work. Supplies and equipment will need to be
transported so access to a vehicle is recommended.
