The
research based on the consequences of pesticides on farm products and its
health implication on Obiaruku community in Ukwuani Local Government Area of
Delta State. The population of the community is 25,680. Based on the study,
simple survey was carried out on a target population of 2000 persons whereby a
fraction of the total population of the area was selected for the study for
accurate information to be achieved. The simple and stratified sampling method
was used in the study.

Obiaruku
community was stratified into ten (10) strata with each stratum representing a
quarter. The simple random sampling technique was used to pick 20 persons from
each quarter to form a sample size of two hundred (200) respondents for the
study and this was done using the balloting method. The researcher collected
the names of all the people that participated in the exercise, selected “Yes”
or “No” was written in piece of paper folder and dropped in a container that
was shuffled and paper was picked one after the other, and the people that
picked “Yes” was selected until the number of respondents, is complete as equal
opportunity was given to all respondents.
