candidates should have a PhD in computer science, performing research in
software quality, decision support in software projects (with analysis of
economic trade-off in costs or effort) or related areas, and have a clear
interest in collaboration with industry.
-They should enjoy working in an internationally oriented and interdisciplinary
research environment.
-Experience in research in software quality and metrics as well as good
knowledge of databases and decision-support methods (including data mining
and/or statistical methods) in software projects are a must.
-Candidates should show strong foundations of QA techniques and quality
evaluation in projects and testing.
-Communicative skills, experience in research dissemination through high-impact
publications (mainly in ISI SCIE-indexed journals), experience in EU funded
research projects, knowledge and/or experience in European research and
industry and the ability to work in a team are very important.
-Ability to write, read and speak fluently English is a must while advanced
knowledge of Spanish and some knowledge of Italian will be considered
additional merits.

Scholarship Description: IAPP Marie Curie program settles the following conditions for
candidates: He/she is fully graduated in Informatics or Computer
Science/Engineering or equivalent degree and he/she must at the time of
recruitment (i) be in possession of a doctoral degree in Computer Science or
similar area, independently of the time taken to acquire it or (ii) have at
least four years of full-time demonstrable equivalent research experience,
including the period of research training, after obtaining the degree which
formally allowed to embark on a doctorate in the country in which the degree
was obtained or in the country of the host institution to which is recruited
(irrespective of whether a doctorate was envisaged or not). At the time of selection,
the researcher must not have resided or carried out his/her main activity in
the country of the beneficiary home organization (University of Alcalá, Spain),
for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to his/her selection
under the project. Short stays such as holidays are not taken into account.
