Our
Manitoba based client is looking for a Senior Transmission and Distribution
Engineer who will be stationed at their Liberia, Africa project.
In this role you will be responsible for:
– Setting up an engineering office for the LEC and carrying out engineering of
T&D systems (planning and design) while training inexperienced engineers.
Currently the system has only 8000 customers and is planned to grow to 80,000
by 2015.
– Competency based practical training in T&D engineering.
– Training young engineers in Transmission and Distribution standards, design,
planning and project management.
– Carrying out existing T&D expansion projects.
– Managing the establishment of the engineering office at LEC.
Requirements:
– Clear understanding and solid knowledge base of distribution design and
engineering of low-voltage networks.
– Appropriate communication skills for training.
– Only language requirement is English.
– Worked previously in developing countries if possible.
– Electrical Engineering Educational Base.
– Previous experience working for a utility company or consultant company to
the Utility Industry.
