Ensures that the vehicle is utilised for the sole purpose of the organisation;
work, Ability t condu
ct oneself in a professional and courteous manner to
represent the best interests f the organisation, Perform other tasks as
assigned by the Supervisor, Driving staff, officials, partners and visitors
safely, with strict observance of traffic rules and regulations and the
organisations internal policy, Logs timely official trips as per the office’s
rules, including daily mileage , fuel consumption, ensure vehicles are insured
and driving licence is renewed, Ensures that vehicle are equipped with First
Aid kit and capable of providing First Aid services, Responsible for the day to
day maintenance of the vehicles (check fuel, oil, water, brakes, tires) and
performs repairs and ensures the safety and cleanliness of the vehicles
all the times
MSCE and valid driver’s licence Class C or C1 (PGD), valid Defensive driving
certificate, chauffeur certificate would be a plus, Minimum 5 yrs of relevant
work experience as a driver, preferably in an international NGO with travel
experience throughout Malawi, Proficiency In spoken and written English and
Chichewa, Ability to travel with in Malawi up to 50% of the time, A track
record of being a strong team player, excellent communication skills, high
flexibility to adapt to changing work conditions
