The Ungava Tulattavik Health Centre serves the seven communities on the Ungava Bay coast. To respond to the urgent needs in perinatality among the region’s clientele, the Ungava Tulattavik Health Centre would like to establish a team of midwives by filling one full-time, permanent position, to start up this department as soon as possible.
STARTING DATE: June 2011
Mid-Wife
FUNCTIONS:
Assumes follow-up on pregnancy, deliveries and immediate post-partum cares of mother and child.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a professional mid-wife practice authorization from Province of Quebec;
Must be register at “l’Ordre des sages-femmes du Québec” before the beginning of the employment;
Working experience with selected type of client;
Update certification in advance neonatal reanimation;
Certification in obstetrical emergencies would be an asset;
Fluent in English and French (spoken and written);
Ability for team work;
Excellent communication skills;
Available and flexible;
ISOLATION PREMIUM: $7,423. or $11,874. / Year, as per the family status
Any employee recruited in Quebec more than 50 kilometers from the locality in which she/he is called upon to perform her/his duties, will be granted annual trips and lodging unit as per her/his status, transit or shared lodging if necessary.
