Title: Administrative Assistant, Family Medicine Entity, Dar Es Salaam
Position Description:
Reports to: The Chair, Family Medicine or a person designated by him/ her.
Responsibilities
Provide administrative assistance to the Program Director at Dar Division of
regional department (through Admin Officer) ensuring completion of all tasks
related to Academic Administration of the program
Provide administrative support to the Dar division of regional department
ensuring timely completion of all tasks ranging from general administration
including day to day tasks related to finance, security, transport and travel,
maintenance/ repairs, supplies, communication, HR, IT, power management
printing and photocopying
Provide secretarial support to Program Director and other faculty members of
DAR Division
Coordinate the entire process on New resident‘s in take in Dar Division of the
Regional Program in liaison with the office of Post Graduate Medical Education
(PGME) Directorate in Nairobi Office of the Chair; Regional Department of
Family Medicine and Program Director Dar Division
Coordinate development timely communication and enforcement of resident’s
quarterly rotation schedules
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree with Administrative and Secretarial skills with two years of
experience preferably in a reputable Education Sector
Excellent Ms Office skills (especially MS Excel and MS PowerPoint)
Excellent interpersonal and team working skills are essential
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Able to assume responsibilities and ability to work independently
Excellent time management skills
Readiness to work in a challenging environment
