Depending on how it is handled, your habit can be your greatest helper or your worst burden, it can push you onward and upward or drag you downwards to failure. It is completely at your command. Ninety percent of the things you do might just as well be turned over to it and will be able to do them quickly and correctly.
Your habit can easily be managed. Show it exactly how you want something done and after a few lessons will do them automatically. It is the servant of all great people and of failure also. Although it works with the precision of a machine plus the intelligence of a man, it is not any of them.
You can run your habit for profit or for ruin. When trained firmly, it places the world at your hand but being easy with it, it will destroy you.
The afore-mentioned are the characteristics of the habits of every man in the world. Good habit must be grabbed firmly, forcefully with a strong commitment.
