The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Press Officer Job Vacancy in Central London

Be part of the vision; be part of the RIBA.

The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) champions better buildings, communities and the environment through architecture and its members. With over 40,000 members worldwide the RIBA has led the profession since its foundation in 1834, and continues to lead as architects face the challenges of the 21st century.

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Press Officer to join a very demanding and busy Press Office, responsible for communicating the RIBA’s messages and vision across a wide range of media channels.
Devising and implementing cultural and professional press strategies to increase the profile of RIBA events, initiatives and policies, you will respond to journalists’ general enquiries, advise/brief senior RIBA spokespeople on press matters, evaluate press coverage and generally develop relationships with existing and new contacts.

Able to develop and maintain strong working relationships, you will be degree qualified or have equivalent professional experience, highly creative and possess excellent written skills. Results driven, diplomatic and calm under pressure, you will also have the ability to create effective press strategies and manage press events. Previous experience in a similar environment is therefore essential and knowledge of, or an interest in, architecture would be desirable.

If you are keen to join a progressive, well-respected membership organisation, the RIBA could be the place for you.
