The Ocean Road Cancer Institute (ORCI) was established by the Act of
Parliament No.20f 1996. The Institute is a semi-autonomous organization
which operates at “arm’s length” under the Ministry of Health and
Social
Welfare. The Institute has various roles which all stem on the main role of
controlling cancer in Tanzania. The Institute is currently looking for
qualified Tanzania citizens to fill the following
vacancies:
Assistant Accountant 11- PGSS 10 (1 Post)
Duties:
Assist in safeguarding financial records;
Assist in preparing of bank reconciliation on monthly basis and making
follow up outstanding matters;
Verifying payment vouchers, receipt vouchers and journals;
Assist in preparation of fin
ancial statement e.g. balance sheet, income
statement, cash flow statement and trial balance;
Assist in preparation of weekly cash position report;
Assist in maintaining fixed assets register;
Assist in ensure effective daily revenue collections, banking, cash
withdrawals in favour of ORCI, proper maintenance of petty cash and issuing
cheques;
b) Qualifications
Holder of Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, B.Com with (Accounting,
Business Administration) or any other relevant field.

copies of academic certificates, and Birth certificate.
2. Testimonials, Partial transcripts, and results slip will not be accepted.

4. Applicants who have foreign certificates should certify the same to the
relevant authority before submitting their applications.
5. Applicants who are currently employed in the Public Service should route
their applications to their current employers.
6. Presentation of forged certificates and other information in the CV
shall call for legal action;
7. Only shortlisted candidates will be informed the date for interview;
