The Ocean Road Cancer Institute (ORCI) was established by the Act of
Parliament No.20f 1996. The Institute is a semi-autonomous organization
which operates at “arm’s length” under the Ministry of Health and
Social
Welfare. The Institute has various roles which all stem on the main role of
controlling cancer in Tanzania. The Institute is currently looking for
qualified Tanzania citizens to fill the following
vacancies:
Medical Doctor II- PMGSS 10 (1Post)
Reports to: Clinical Oncology Services Manager Duties:
Perform routine m
edical services for in-patients and out-patients.
Perform daily ward rounds, participate in major ward rounds and prepare
patient case notes
Conduct all investigations for patients
Attend and participate in morning sessions, tumor boards, Medical boards,
CMEs and journal Clubs;
Conduct research activities and outreach programs;
Perform any other duties as shall be assigned by his/her superior
Direct Entry Qualifications
Holder of Doctor of Medicine Degree or MBCHB or its equivalent from any
recognised Institution who has completed internship and registered with the
Medical Council of Tanganyika.

4. Applicants who have foreign certificates should certify the same to the
relevant authority before submitting their applications.
5. Applicants who are currently employed in the Public Service should route
their applications to their current employers.
6. Presentation of forged certificates and other information in the CV
shall call for legal action;
7. Only shortlisted candidates will be informed the date for interview;
