The National Farmers Union (NFU) is a non-partisan, democratic organization
made up of farm families and concerned citizen
s from across Canada. The NFU
advocates for policies designed to raise net farm incomes by working towards a
food system that is built on a foundation of financially-viable family farms.
We support social and economic justice for food producers and eaters.
The NFU is currently looking for a contractor to fill the position of
DonorCampaign Facilitator and deliver the following as part of a larger
capacity-building project:
Main Deliverables:
• A strategy for finding and communicating with new potential donors, based on
consultation with like-minded organizations regarding the design of successful
donor campaigns
• Funding appeal and donor communication templates
• Recommendations for appropriate information technology to administer donor
campaigns
• Set up and train administrative staff to use approved donor list management
system
The successful contractor will have:
• Demonstrated ability to work with volunteer-driven non-profit organizations
• Excellent written communication skills
• A positive track record in donor recruitment and retention
• Experience with user-friendly donor management IT systems
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and work within approved budgets
• Fluency in French will be considered an asset
The role is that of an independent contractor, which requires the successful
candidate to provide invoices and to manage their own tax remittances. This is
a short-term contract (until December 15, 2015) with flexible location
(anywhere in Canada).
