recognized earthmoving contractor with a reputable name throughout the mining
industry.
The project
This large
open cut mine operates with CAT trucks, loaders and ancillaries along with
Komatsu PC5500 and Liebherr 9350 diggers, the site works on a 2 weeks on 1 week
off roster rotating day/ night shift. The site is supported by a good standard
of accommodation with on- suited rooms along with a social wet mess and sports
facilities including a gym.
The position
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor you will enjoy working
mainly in the field on technical breakdowns, first response problem solving and
fault finding on the digger fleet. Along with maintaining the digger fleet from
time to time you will exercise your skills working on the other site machinery
in the field and workshop.
Your value
You will have a minimum of 5 years experience working in the mining
industry as a heavy diesel fitter/ digger fitter and have strong knowledge and
experience working on Komatsu and/ or Liebherr excavators. The ability to work
autonomously and diagnose and technically fault find on large excavators will be
essential in your success.
