An opportunity has
arisen for a Field Service Technician (HV Electrician) to join our Service
Department at our Port Hedland branch. Reporting to the Branch Manager this
position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of Komatsu Customer
Equipment. The role will also contribute to a professional team environment by
ensuring high levels of safety, quality and efficiency for the Komatsu Port
Hedland Field Service Department.
Please be aware,
this is a residential position (not FIFO). Relocation assistance may be
available for the successful candidate.
DESCRIPTION
OF ROLE:
Operational
• Competent at all K6 & below essential skill sets for machine diagnostics
and repairs.
• Ability to demonstrate an appropriate level of technical understanding
of the design & function of Komatsu equipment.
• Ability to demonstrate competencies of testing and adjusting of machine
operating and monitoring systems utilising relevant literature and testing
equipment.
• Ability to generate technical reports to a professional standard
utilising given formats of Microsoft office programs.
• Ability to utilise relevant Komatsu operating programs such as Merchant,
Link One and SMAP.
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge transfer of all facets of the job to
levels lower than K7.
• Ability to coordinate major site based equipment maintenance projects.
• Demonstrates punctuality at start & finish times as well as break
times and accurate time sheet inputs.
• Demonstration of accurate service reporting in an efficient manner
including standard template
• Coordination of job packet requirements, and Ability to follow required
job scope & critical path.
• Demonstrates responsibility in coordinating required departmental
reporting such as TSI & warranty claim processes.

including:

• Performing duties in a manner that adheres to health, safety and
environmental standards and practice to protect personal health and that of
others, and prevent harm to the environment.
• Prevent and stop, if necessary, any activity that is thought will result
in a breach of HSE Standards, initiatives or Regulatory compliance.
Key
Requirements
• Qualified Trades person: HV Electrician and a minimum of MR
classification driver’s licence.
• Ability to provide a high level of customer service in line with our
Customer Support Charter.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and ability to work unsupervised.
