Field Programme Officer
Will directly report to the Agriculture Programme Manger who is directly
responsible for managing GOAL’s Agriculture programme in Nsanje district.
Will be responsible for implementation of quality activities in their
assigned geographic area of operation. The main activities o
f the Agriculture
programme are seed and tool distribution to displaced households in Nsanje as a
result of the recent flooding, working with extension services for training in
agriculture techniques, ongoing monitoring and support. This is a
high-level management position is responsible for all aspects of these
interventions, including technical management, strategic direction,
coordination of activities, organisational representation, donor reporting,
budgetary management, administration, and logistics
To manage implementation of the Agriculture programme in your assigned
geographical target area, To take direction and support GOAL Malawi’s
Agriculture Programme manager in the delivery of the agricultural programme
ensuring quality, compliance with donor, GOAL and national policies and
achievement of results, Report on project activities using GM’s project
management and monitoring tools and structures, Ensure effective implementation
of GM’s programmatic approaches, To support the Programme Manager to in programme
financial and programmatic reporting for internal and donor attention, Ensure
that the programme manager is kept updated of programme developments, including
difficulties, through regular direct personal communication and reports, Will
liaise closely with Programme Managers and other GOAL staff and external
stakeholders to ensure quality implementation
Strong experience of working in partnership commitment to quality programming
and experience of implementing according to GM’s preferred approaches or similar,
Exceptional communication, analysis and writing skills, Bachelors Degree in
Agronomy or equivalent, Experience in field level management of projects and
programs funded by major institutional donors and agencies such as USAID/OFDA,
DFID, UN Agencies, Irish Aid and European Union
