Salary(s): $43,500.00 – $52,106.00 per yearQualifications:
• An extensive working knowledge of accounting theory and practice as evidenced by the
completion of the 3rd level of a recognized accounting program (CGA, CMA, CA) is
essential. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
• Significant experience in analyzing financial statements within a complex computerized
environment and in the application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (focus on Non Profit) as they relate to recording financial transactions and financial statement presentation is essential.
• Demonstrated experience in the preparation of general ledger account reconciliations,
year end accruals, adjustments and working papers to support the financial statements is essential.
• Demonstrated proficiency with all aspects of Microsoft Office suite is essential, with a good working knowledge of an accounting software and experience with SAP applications
is desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and function effectively under pressure with superior communication and interpersonal skills is essential.

Duties:
Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Accounting, this position is responsible for financial analysis including quarterly general ledger account reconciliations; reconciliation and monitoring of receivables; preparation of various claims and related schedules/reconciliations; and year end working papers, adjustments and accruals as required. The incumbent is also responsible for the financial control of project disbursements for land development activities and recording of year end financial statements/ group receivables for Private Non Profit and Sponsor groups for incorporation into the MHRC Financial Statements. The incumbent is a key contact for the auditors during the year end financial statement attest audit.
