L3 Lotus Notes System Administrator (Architect)

Job Duties
and Responsibilities

The Lotus Notes
System Engineer will have the overall responsibility for the global design and
development of the Lotus Notes infrastructure. The Engineer will be responsible
for integrating the Lotus Notes environment into existing enterprise
systems.  This person needs to understand the client’s business and
existing architectures and must work with the client in defining current and
future directions based on today’s technology and future visions.

This person will
work direction with the client, members of the operations/engineering staff and
management to develop priorities and expectations in regards to application
enhancements and infrastructure improvements.  They must stay focused on
maintaining the “Big Picture” and preparing us for the future. 
They must understand the client’s needs and ensure that the architected
solution will meet their business requirements. This person should participate
with project team members in establishing project timelines and estimating
project tasks so that the overall environment remains stable while meeting
project milestones.

The Engineer must
maintain a high level of competency with the application and should be
available to resolve complex issues/problems as they arise.  This person
should possess a strong technical background in client/server computing to
assist in the selection of server platforms,  Operating Systems,  and
system design.  Must work with key members of other technologies such as
networks, hardware, and application design.  Must act as a mentor and be
willing to transfer knowledge to others in area(s) of expertise. 
Responsible for establishing the standard for, planning changes to, and
directing the implementation of, all infrastructure components (NAB, infrastructure
templates, replication, mail routing, web access, etc.).  Must be current
with Lotus’ technology and with Lotus’ future strategy.   Assist with
selection, evaluation, and documentation of vendor software and hardware.
 Communicate with client, senior management and technical staff with both
executive level and technical level papers and presentations.

Be the “expert
level” technical resource for consultation to the Lotus Notes
operations/engineering team. Researching problems related to Windows NT,
networks (LAN, WAN), E-Mail, Directory synchronization services, Lotus Notes
Service. Work with Project Managers and System Engineers in developing
achievable project time lines/deliverables and implementing projects.Develop
project documentation including presentations and status reports.Participate on
execution of critical projects.

Work with customer
and other technical staff members to provide solutions for a large complex
Lotus Notes infrastructure.Transfer technical knowledge to others. Mentor other
global team members.  This is a must for this postion. Stay current with
Lotus Notes / Domino technology

  years experience as a Notes Architect

  Lotus Notes System Administration experience including HTTP process, SMTP
  MTA, DominoFax and Domino.Doc a plus
