Procurement Officer-

A minimum
qualification of a Bachelors Degree in Procurement Logistics or Bachelor of
Business Administration from a reputable university, A minimum of 5 yrs
experience in a similar position, Experience in preparing bid documents and
bills of quantities is a must, Strong verbal/presentation and w
riting skills,
Knowledge of MS Office
Generate fortnightly
procurement status reports for circulation, Arrange for contracts with service
providers as provided for in the Procurement Manual to ensure goods and services
are acquired at competitive prices, Arrange for prequalification of service
providers as provided for in the Procurement Manual, Prepare and arrange duty
clearance and VAT exemption on all goods and services and ensure that all
Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA) procedures have been adhered to, Procure goods
and services for all activities from within and outside the country
to facilitate smooth implementation of University activities by adhering to all
the necessary procedure and regulations, Check goods on arrival to ensure
correctness of order and that it agrees with packing list/invoice before goods
are handed over t the stores or users, Respond to queries in a
professional and planner in respect of status and delivery of goods to locations/programs,
file index and files for all purchases by category, grant (charge codes) and
location, develop annual procurement plans on major purchases, Ensure
procurement is done in accordance with Procurement Policy and Procedures,
Operate and maintain a procurement monitoring and tracking system through the
procurement status report template or any available software including a
logging system of incoming and pending purchase requests and generate reports
for circulation
