The School of Animal
and Veterinary Sciences is seeking a veterinary diagnostic imager to join their
high-calibre team at the Roseworthy Campus. The successful candidate will have
access to some of the best clinical facilities in the world, equipped with
state-of-the-art radiography and digital imaging equipment including a new
Toshiba Alexion Advance Edition 16 slice CT scanner with 1500mm couch and EquusCT
scan table.

The School opened
its new Equine Health and Performance Centre this year, a world class facility
bringing Adelaide to the forefront of equine veterinary services. Together with
the Companion Animal Health Centre, Production Animal Health Centre and
Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory the Health Centre facilities at Roseworthy are
truly first class.

To be successful in
this position you will need to be a Veterinarian who is eligible to practice in
South Australia to teach didactic and clinical diagnostic imaging, and develop
the clinical service. We encourage candidates who have not taught in a
university before to apply, as well as those who have previous university
experience. Opportunities to develop a research programme will be made available
to interested candidates.

The University will

Position
requirements

To be successful you
should have:

  • Qualification
    in Veterinary Science acceptable for registration in South Australia
  • Completion
    of an approved residency and eligibility to sit speciality board
    examinations
  • Proven
    ability to support clinical referral services in veterinary medicine and
    surgery
  • Strong
    interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a
    member of a teaching team
