OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Technical Advisor will work under the MSH
Country Representative to provide technical assistance in support of new
business development, communication, development of Country Strategic Roadmap
(CSRM) and implementation. The Technical Advisor will also coordinate
establishment of newsletter for MSH Tanzania. Under the guidance of Tanzania
Country Leadership Team and other Senior Technical Advisors, she/he will gather
necessary information to ensure that his plans and activities effectively
address priority areas as identified in the CSRM.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide synchronized quarterly update of MSH
projects to MSH home office, MSH projects within the country, USAID, CDC,
Gates foundation and partners. - Collect and archive the projects monthly and
QTR report and final deliverables. - Organize and document monthly technical
seminars involving MSH technical staff working in different projects of
MSH in Tanzania and seminars led by STTAs coming to the country or project
technical experts. - Provide administrative and research support to
the Country Strategic Roadmap development and implementation. - Work on searching for business opportunities
from different donors and advice the country representative of the
available opportunities. - Assist the Country Representative in MSH new
business development and communication, respond to RFAs, RFQs, LOI etc. - Coordinate the work of establishing a
quarterly newsletter which will carry topics from all projects under MSH
Tanzania for experience sharing among MSH staff worldwide and interested
partners. - Perform any other tasks or duties required by
the MSH Country Representative or COMU Director.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced degree of any health specialty
including MD or MPH, MBBA. - At least three (3) years working experience in
resource mobilization, proposal writing (i.e RFAs, RFQs, LOIs) report
writing, documentation or in writing for newsletters. - High knowledge on compilation of documents and
report writing. - Fluency in English speaking, writing, reading
and understanding. - Proven ability to work as part of a team with
minimal supervision. - Demonstrated intermediate skills in Microsoft
Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. - Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated
ability to interact professionally with diverse staff, clients and
consultants and heads of sections or units.
