Background:
Health Poverty Action is an International NGO operational in Rwanda since 1998 (known as Health Unlimited until 2010) and started its programming with the now highly popular Urunana radio soap opera. In addition to this, Health Poverty Action has also been implementing other sexual and reproductive health focused projects and one project that supported local Civil Society Organisations to monitor the implementation of the Rwanda PRSP health component. Health Poverty Action has recently expanded its programming focus to support youth sexual and reproductive health, water and sanitation, and gender issues.
As we embark on our water, sanitation and hygiene, we are seeking consultancy firm to undertake a KAP survey on hygiene, water and sanitation in Nyaruguru District for the period between.
The Task
HPA is seeking consultancy firm to undertake KAP survey for the period of 30 days (April-May). This survey will entail a desk review as well as focused group discussions and visits to communities of the Nyaruguru district. Interested parties are also requested to collect the detailed Terms of Reference document at the HPA country office located at Remera, opposite the Amahoro National Stadium
Qualifications, skills & Experience
• Minimum of a university degree in Public Health or its equivalent.
• At least five (5) years experience in undertaking health surveys.
• Knowledge on participatory methodologies
• Good knowledge of English and Kinyarwanda.
Duration of the consultancy
The consultancy will run for a period of one month from the date of signing the contract.

• A technical proposal- detailing how the consultant proposes to undertake the KAP survey
• A financial proposal – providing a breakdown of consultancy fees, costs and estimate of expenses
• A profile of the consultancy firm
