Contract position: outdoor landscape
Duties:
• physical labouror, assistant and liason to clients and owner of company.
fast-paced environment.
• heavy lifting, building and problem solving, multitasks and time sensitive
abilities
• technologically efficient and current: ie: you have a cell phone
• execute, plan and perform duties for maintenance tasks of residential
properties
• physical ability for lifting, delivery and placement of heavy landscape
stones, soil, mulch, trees and plants
• assist and work independantly outdoors in any weather to construct or prepare
sites for landscaping
• competent skills in the operation gas operated machines and hand tools for
digging, cutting, planting, cultivation and extractions.
• knowledge of seasonal perennials, shrubs and small trees an asset
• inventory accountability, tool maintenance and sharpening
• insect and bug identification
• be willing to dig holes, plant effeciently, arrange and discern visual
layouts from drawings onto site specific areas.
• experience proven in the proper planting techniques of any perennial, and
trees larger that 10′
• driver’s licence: a big plus
• available to work from 8am-6pm May until November appoximately.
• team player with good communications, approachable with positive attitude
Skill sets:
• excellent knowledge of pruning or experience in formal pruning techniques.
big plus.
• knowledge and proven skills for sharpening and cleaning outdoor garden tools
• understanding and knowledge for soil types, mulch applications, and
fertilizers for assortment of plants and trees/seasonal applications
• must have current understanding and ability to send and receive pdf files, apps
and general GPS awareness
• understanding of small business operation and ethics
• must have a good memory, artistic ability and visual perspectives
