Introduction:
My client is a leading global provider of technology solutions for the energy industry. The Company operate in 15 countries around the world with over 10,000 employees and holds a global reputation for their innovation and excellence
The technology and engineering centre in Dunfermline, is responsible for the design and manufacture of subsea trees, wellhead systems and associated equipment and employs a dedicated project management team leading a vast number of diverse technical projects.
The Role:
Reporting to the Commercial and Projects Director, this newly created post will be responsible for improving the project management function within the business and developing additional processes to ensure the Dunfermline centre reaches the required standards globally within the organisation.
Key contribution areas include:
• To lead and develop project management processes and procedures and overall project management competence.
• To develop new training and development plans to identify improvement areas.
• To develop internal Project Management processes. This includes reviewing existing practices across the Projects function e.g. planning and audit systems
• Acting as the centre’s global representative within the organisation and communicating with cross functional teams within the business to ensure global process alignment within the Projects discipline.
The Candidate:
You will be a seasoned Project Management professional with significant experience in applying improvements within the entire project lifecycle.
You will be qualified to degree level (or equivalent) and will have a range of experience in process improvement tools, ideally supplemented with recognised qualifications. You will also have certification in a recognised Project Management methodology (PRINCE 2, APM) Business process re-engineering experience is highly desirable.
