Under the supervision of the IS Project Manager, The incumbent of this role is responsible for the validation and operational support of software applications used for the management of clinical trial data in compliance with the Montreal Heart Institute Coordinating Center (MHICC) Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and applicable regulatory requirements. Therefore, this person will be responsible to:
* Produce software verification and validation documents (test plans and test reports);
* Perform software testing (unit testing and integration testing);
* Develop test scripts;
* Execute application software verification and validation plans and maintains compliance to applicable regulatory requirements;
* Perform installation and validation of software updates and upgrades;
* Produce software user guides, installation manuals and training material;
* Provide user training;
* Provide operational support and user help on-demand for application software hosting in collaboration with the IT staff;
* Liaise with software suppliers as required for the resolution of problems;
* Manage software configuration, versions and releases;
* Manage the Canadian Atherosclerosis Imaging Network (CAIN) database.
Requirements:
* Bachelors degree in computer programming or any related field;
* Bilingualism;
* Software processes and methodologies, specifically Verification and Validation;
* LAMP/WAMP (Linux/Windows, Apache, MySQL, PHP);
* One object-oriented programming language (Java or C++).
