The Work force Development Authority (WDA) is a
legally established Government Institution under law Number 03/2009 of
27/03/2009 as amended by law N°39/2011 of 13/09/2011 with a mandate of
empowering Rwandans with the right skills for successful implementation of
National Development programmes. WDA seeks to recruit and fill the following
positions.
1. Senior Officer in Charge of Curriculum
Development (1)
Requirements
 Bachelor’s degree in Education, Pedagogy or
equivalent in related field.

  • 3 years of related experience
Main Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the development and the regular
    update of TVET curricula;
  • Monitor the Implementation of WET curricula;
  • Follow up the harmonization of Public &
    Private TVET curricula;
  • Coordinate definition of standard requirements
    for curricula development;
  • Collaborate with National Skill Training
    Council (NSTC) in order to develop standards for adoption in Rwanda;
  • Report to top management about curriculum
    development activities.
2. Civil Engineer (1)
Requirements
  • Bachelors in Structural/Civil Engineering or
    equivalent requisite qualification
Main Responsibilities:
  • Perform structural design and analysis,
    calculations and project specifications using governing codes and
    standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience.
  • Planning and the conduct of independent work
    requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and
    adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria,
  • Devise new approaches to problems, and prepare
    or modify drawings, specifications, calculations, charts and graphs, and
    monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering
    practices and statutory standards.
  • Performance of field activities such as
    observe and record existing field including structural analysis of
    existing buildings for purpose of rehabilitation and maintenance
    conditions, take and verify measurements within project area.
  • Develop standard Civil and Structural
    specification as to be applied in WET school development.
  • Organization, drafting, and coordination of
    technical documents.
3. Planning Officer (1)
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Economics,
    Business Administration or equivalent
Main Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and coordinate the WDA’s corporate
    plan in liaison with all the heads of Units;
  • Research the implications and impact of WDA
    activities on the Rwanda Economy;
  • Analyze and strengthen statistical data base
    of the institution in connection with statistician;
  • Analyze statistical information and provide
    relevant information to WDA management and other stakeholders;
  • Exchange information with national and
    international institutions specialized in She sectors of activities in
    which the institution is involved;
  • Provide timely and accurate performance
    reports to the Director General containing performance indicators, budget
    plans forecasts and work developments.
