Family mediation; a chance to make a difference to families in crisis
Can you help National Family Mediation (NFM) meet the challenges and opportunities currently on offer? NFM’s Trustees are seeking to recruit a new Chair to lead a dynamic and determined Board.
National Family Mediation (NFM) is the only voluntary sector provider of family mediation in England and Wales. It represents its affiliated member services and provides a strong national voice for family mediation.
NFM and its member services face three key challenges:
1 To reach more families going through relationship breakdown
2 To ensure financial stability
3 To develop a stronger network.
NFM’s credentials are impeccable. We are a registered charity; a founding member of the Family Mediation Council, the regulatory body for family mediators; the leading family mediation training provider; and the largest provider of family mediation services.
NFM will further grow its market position by recruiting you as Chair because you:
• are a dynamic leader in the public, private or voluntary sector
• have broad knowledge of family policy, family justice and the challenges facing families today
• have chaired a talented and high performing Board, with a clear understanding of governance, financial accountability and compliance
• have a track record of delivering competitive advantage
• are experienced in developing and delivering strategic objectives, innovation, service excellence and performance in organizations
• have experience of working with central government.
