Job Summary: The MSF Medical Coordinator Assistant will support the
Medical Coordinator in the smooth and correct running of the MSF France Medical
Mission, with a strong focus on networking, national staff health, pharmacy and
monitoring of outbreaks and possible emergencies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Offering timely
support in the coordination and the field teams with a sound knowledge on
Uganda medical protocols and policies. - Representing the
Medical Coordinator in technical meetings when needed. - Actively
monitoring major health emergencies in the country and participate in
exploratory missions. - Supporting the
Medical Coordinator in his/her duties when needed. - Manage the
pharmacy under the supervision of the Medical Coordinator. - In charge of
building and growing working relationships with key partners like MoH and
others - Medical
follow-up of national and international staff health. - Regularly visit
the projects in the country.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal
candidate should be a Medical Doctor, clinical officer or nurse with
strong coordination skills (specifically in emergencies). - Demonstrable
management experience and capacities to coach and train others (people
management). - Keen interest
and basic knowledge in advocacy about health & humanitarian principles
/ human rights and belief in the advocacy role of MSF - Possess the
ability to organize and prioritize workload (own and others), using
initiative when appropriate - Good knowledge
of computer/technical skills - Stable
personality is indispensable to cope with the specific characteristics of
the work in difficult - Good reporting
skills with critical analyzing - The incumbent
must also be highly flexible with a high degree of independence. - Fluency in both
spoken and written English
