Our client is an ASX Listed banking and
financial services business, looking to recruit an ambitious, technically
astute Senior Technical Accounting Manager to join their Group finance
function.

The Senior Technical Accounting Manager is a
position that will serve as the technical accounting subject matter expert with
respect to the company’s accounting policies with a specific focus on group
& subsiduary transactions, and to ensure quality an

d the timeliness of
the financial guidance throughout the company’s finance organisation.
This position with report to the CFO and will work closely with the other
Senior Manager’s in the Group.

Responsibilities:

Consult on technical accounting matters in
relation to Group level transactions.
Provide technical accounting advice on all
sizable business unit level transactions.
Interact with Group Finance, Business Unit
Finance and external auditors on technical accounting matters.
Maintain and develop accounting policies to
ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
Monitor standard setter activity and implement
emerging accounting pronouncements.
Partner with corporate groups, including
financial reporting group and business units for the implementation of
accounting standards and transactions.
Lead specialist projects in relation to
accounting procedure and policy.
Manage the training program for finance staff
in relation to technical accounting treatments.

Experience and Qualifications:

CA qualified.
Minimum of 7 years of work experience, either
in big four accounting firm or significant accounting policy setting organisation
experience.
High degree of technical accounting knowledge
required.
Experience with performing complex accounting
research and technical activities.
Excellent oral and written communication
skills.
Strong communication, interpersonal, problem solving
and project management skills.
