ARC is a US based non-profit relief organization rebuilding self-reliant
communities around the world using innovative approaches, hybrid business
models and the power of social-entrepreneurship. ARC provides services to the
refugee population living in Rwanda.

Following
the influx of refugees to Rwanda from neighboring Burundi, UNHCR, MIDMAR and
its partners are currently working to provide the basic needs (Shelter, Health,
food…) to Burundians refugees.

ARC
as a proud partner of MIDMAR and UNHCR is looking for the suitable candidates
to fulfill the following positions for Mahama Refugee Camp in Kirehe District:

1.
Medical Coordinator (1)

Responsibilities:

To
Provide supportive services to Medical Staff in fulfilling their
responsibilities. Coordinate all health activities.
Plan,
supervise and evaluate primary health care services provided to the
refugees;
Ensure
adherence to national/international standards, specifically MoH and WHO,
Supervise
and control utilization of all health resources including drugs and
medical equipments,
Dispense
medical consultation to patients referred from Nurses or midwife,

Qualifications:

Bachelor`s
degree in general medicine,
Ability
to communicate professionally in both verbally and in writing,
Being
fluent in both English and French,
Computer
literate,
Ability
to live and work in isolated areas of Rwanda

2. Nurses (4)

Responsibilities:

Should
be able to prescribe treatment for the patients consulted with extra
attention on doses and be able to make decision on which patient can be
referred to the doctor,
Should
always follow up the patients that he/she has consulted and hospitalised
in case of severe illness or epidemic disease to ensure good reception
proper treatment, patient transferred to other departments or hospitals to
ensure good reception,
Should
be able to respond to emergency cases…

Qualifications:

A2
Nursing,
Ability
to communicate professionally in both verbally and in writing,
Being
fluent in English or French,
Ability
to live and work in isolated areas of Rwanda
Previous
experience with INGO is an advantage

3.
Midwife (1)

Responsibilities:

Conduct
deliveries,

Renders
comprehensive care to women, Evaluates prenatal patient’s condition and
formulates plan of care to maintain healthy progress, Consults Medical
Doctor for risk management, Administers medications and treatments within
delineated parameters.
Cares
for newborn following delivery. Evaluates condition and institutes
emergency measures. Counsels parents on normal growth and development of
infant. Provides guidance and encourages acceptable health practices….
Provide
technical assistance to nurses in the obstetrical field.

Qualifications:

Minimum
A1 nurse-midwifery.
Being
fluent in English or French,
Ability
to live and work in isolated areas of Rwanda
Previous
experience with INGO is an advantage

4.
Dispenser / Nurse Pharmacist (1)

Responsibilities:

Should
be able to deliver medicines to patients according to prescriptions,
Responsible
of the drugs store/ pharmacy,
Should
be able to report on time and request medicines on time to avoid the
crisis.

Qualifications:

A2
Nursing,
Ability
to communicate professionally in both verbally and in writing,
Being
fluent in English or French,
Ability
to live and work in isolated areas of Rwanda
Previous
experience with INGO is an advantage,

5.
Data Manager

Responsibilities:

Data
management for all health centre documents for better monitoring and
evaluation,
Provide
periodically reports as requested by the supervisor and Site Manager,
Keep
confidential all information.

Qualifications:

A1
in General Nursing,
Computer
Knowledge ( Word, Excel & internet )
Ability
to communicate professionally in both verbally and in writing,
Being
fluent in English or French,
Ability
to live and work in isolated areas of Rwanda
Previous
experience with INGO is an advantage,
Able
to serve as a Nurse when needed.

6. Community
Health Coordinator

Responsibilities:

Develop,
coordinate and assist in all health education activities including
curative, preventive and community health;
Develop
the program and supervise community health workers;
In
conjunction with the health center staff, plan preventative health
care messages provided to the refugees
Design
and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual reports

Qualifications:

A0
Public health. Background in general Nursing is an advantage;
Previous
working experience with Development or Relief Organisation in Complex
emergency situations, including refugee, displaced and/or war affected
populations;
Strong
oral and written skills;
Preferably
with previous experience in education and/or training;
Computer
Literate;
Ability
to live and work in isolated areas in Rwanda

7.
Nutrition Social Assistant

Responsibilities:

Participate
in food distribution to beneficiaries according to different protocols ;
Provide
nutritional education to beneficiaries, their families, friends, and
provide them with accurate information about the nutrition, culinary
demonstration , services, options and other resources;
Maintain
current and accurate clients’ records as directed, collect and report
relevant data about services provided, and prepare statistical reports as
required;
Collaborate
with other ARC departments, and Health Center as necessary;
Present
and listen to other health staff comments and ideas in self-assessment of
clinical skills and challenges;

Produce
monthly, quarterly and annual reports.

Qualifications:

A1
in Social studies,
At
least 2 years of experience;
Strong
oral and written skills;
Preferably
with previous experience in education and/or training;
Computer
Literate;
Ability
to live and work in isolated areas in Rwanda
