Consultant/Senior Hydrogeologist to support the substantial
growth of our Mining Environmental Group. In this role you will have the
opportunity to work internationally with an experienced team of
Hydrogeologists, servicing clients in the mining, water supply and oil and gas
sectors across North America, Australasia, Africa, Europe and South America.
We have numerous
world-class projects underway that require the leadership and additional
support of an experienced industry professional. We are looking for technical
leaders who have experience working in multi-disciplinary project teams,
managing projects, mentoring and training staff, sustaining excellent client
relationships and further developing the business. This position will suit an
individual interested in a diverse mix of technical and managerial work.
This senior
role will give you the opportunity to:
- join a
dynamic company of motivated and hardworking professionals committed to
delivering high quality engineering and environmental services - oversee
hydrogeological assessments including data collection, interpretation,
site investigation planning and co-ordination, client and regulatory
liaison - design
and implement drilling and testing programs, water sampling, field
mapping, well completion, contractor management - undertake
project management and client management duties, and complete reports and
presentations - develop,
train and mentor junior staff - provide
support with marketing and business development, sustain client
relationships and develop new business - provide
technical guidance on projects as required, particularly larger
engineering and environmental studies - travel
domestically and internationally to meet project needs

This is a full-time,
permanent role and we expect to offer a salary in the range of $100,000 to
$120,000 per year based on the successful candidate’s educational background

If you have a
Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geosciences or Engineering, are registered or
able to register as a Professional Geoscientist or Engineer, and have a minimum
of 12 years’ experience in hydrogeology encompassing field work, assessment and
design, report writing and liaison with clients and regulators, we want to hear
from you.
We value

- hydrogeological
assessment and design for applications such as: dewatering, seepage
mitigation, well-field layout and optimization, baseline and ongoing
monitoring programs; previous experience on mining projects is highly
regarded - practical
knowledge of industry-standard analytical and numerical modelling packages - experience
in site investigation design and implementation including well field
design, hydrogeological testing, groundwater monitoring and contractor
managementexcellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
other languages are an asset - strong
decision-making and interpersonal skills, ability to liaise with clients,
regulatory agencies, and team members at all levels - comprehension
and application of strong business ethics and health, safety and
environmental principles - energy
and passion for developing and servicing world-class mining environmental
engineering projects - ability
to travel domestically and internationally
