The ideal candidate will have:
– at least 3 years post qualifying experience either In-House or within Private Practice dealing with Commercial/Corporate Contracts.
– The ability to communicate and influence at all levels
– Strong organisational and analytical skills
– a strong team player who works equally well on stand alone basis.
You will be responsible for:
– Maintaining up to date working knowledge/understanding relevant areas of law
– Maintaining up to date knowledge of commercial developments in specialist field
– Has a good understanding of the retail banking world and related main legal developments/issues
– Assembles research and produces clear and accurate findings
– Analyses legal and commercial issues in detail and is able to explain relatively complex issues
– Drafting commercial agreements, legal correspondence and other complex documents in plain English with minimal supervision.
– Takes instructions from internal business stakeholders and translates them into appropriate action
– Drafting project plans and related documents with minimal supervision and can be trusted with the sole conduct of some matters under appropriate supervision
– Takes and follows instructions with minimal supervision
– Builds and maintains effective working relationships internally an externally and has developed a profile among senior colleagues.
– Contributes to know how by doing some or all (a) reviewing or drafting precedents (b) delivering full training presentations (alone or jointly).
