created opportunity exists for an Information Technology Systems Administrator.

The incumbent will be responsible for the operation
and maintenance of the Information Systems of GRM International, and to ensure
that the group’s IT&T Infrastructure is fully operational and maintained at
an optimal level.

IT Support and Customer Satisfaction
- Manage the deployment of IT&T equipment
and software within the EMEA region. - Provide levels 1–3 support ensuring a high
level of customer service through telephone, email and face to face of
desktop PCs, notebooks, printers and telephones. - Manage the repair and replacement of IT
equipment including any warranty or insurance claims. - Provide out of hours support as required
Infrastructure Stability
- Perform operational administration and
management of server and LAN/WAN infrastructure; - Ensure that the Group’s IT&T
infrastructure is stable and secure at all times. - Provide incident management, investigation and
coordination.
Operational Management
- Adhere to all IT&T procedures and
policies. - Maintain the operational aspects of the GRM
disaster recovery plan including effective data backups, testing, storage
and system restoration. - Manage the IT security services including
virus protection, software, firewall and remote access systems. - Perform proactive monitoring of the IT&T
environment taking action as appropriate. - Develop strategies and ideas to cater for
growth and capacity within the EMEA region. - Assist the IT&T Manager in executing IT
policies, procedures and planning in the EMEA region.
Documentation
- Maintain the IT&T documentation set,
ensuring that it contains effective documentation and is up to date. - Maintain the IT hardware and software asset
registers.
Reporting requirements
The incumbent will report directly to the
Information Technology & Telecommunications Manager.

- Analyse and make sound recommendations to the
IT&T Manager. - Contribute to process improvement through
innovative and cost effective proposals/ideas/suggestions.
Minimum education and experience required
- Degree in Computer Science, Information
Technology, Computer Engineering or related discipline. - At least 3 years of experience in a similar
role.
Key competencies and professional expertise

- Demonstrated experience with Windows Server
operating systems and associated technologies (Active Directory, DHCP,
DNS, Group Policy). - Exceptional desktop support experience including
hardware, software and peripherals. - Strong understanding of LAN and WAN
technologies including VLANs, routing, VPNs and Firewalls. - PC and server hardware experience.
- Knowledge of printers and other network
peripherals. - Demonstrated ability to think strategically
and tactically while acting independently with minimum supervision. - Exceptional standard of written and verbal
communication skills. - Can work well under pressure to strict
timeframes.
