Gender Monitoring Office (GMO) is a Public
Institution with the mandate to monitor progress towards gender equality and
equity with the aim of ensuring that the fundamental principles of Gender
Equality are respected in all organs at governmental, private, non governmental
and religious levels.

GMO would like to recruit the following
staff :
1. Planning, M&E Officer (1)
Duties
- Enhance quality planning, monitoring,
evaluation and reporting processes by assuring participation and maximization
of inputs from all units ; - Work with different units to develop a
comprehensive action plan and budget ; - Ensure that all GMO programmes are in line
with long term national and international planning tools such as Vision
2020, EDPRS II, MDGs e.t.c ; - Liaise with the statistics officer for
evidence based planning ; - Promote better planning by fostering
communication and information sharing to improve planning practices and
procedures ; - Initiate the development of medium and long
term plans and promote result based planning, monitoring and
evaluation ; - Monitor overall performance of GMO Action
Plans at the unit level - Providing technical assistance and building
capacities of GMO staff in all M&E related activities - Provide guidance and support to all GMO staff
in the development & implementation of monitoring tools, which include
but not limited to data collection, analysis & reporting on program
indicators. - Develop coherent M&E framework and systems
at different levels - Ensure Gender National M&E dissemination
and M&E integration in sectors and districts ; - Contribute to the development of Projects and
the realization of the resource mobilization ; - Produce monthly, quarterly and annual reports
from the heads of units and submit them for approval ; - Performing any other task as may be assigned
by Supervisor ;
Job Requirements and Particularities
- Master/A0, Economics, Project Management,
Development planning ;
Qualification and Experience of job holder
- At least 3 years Experience for (A0) and 1
year for (Masters) in planning, monitoring and Evaluation.
Procurement Officer (1)
Duties
- Ensure that quarterly and annual procurement
plans for GMO activities are prepared and approved by the
management ; - Carry out procurement activities, including
advertising, opening, proposal evaluation, negotiation and signing of
contracts ; - Ensure that Procurement records are properly
documented ; - Follow up timely the execution of
contracts ; - Ensure that all procurement are carried out on
the basis of approved procurement plan to enable cash flow
forecasting ; - Establish procurement performance indicators
and milestones to be used in monitoring and assessing progress in quality
of procurement ; - Ensure that all procurement procedure
complied- with all materials respects, properly documented and
managed ; - Provide regular procurement reports on a
timely basis ; - Facilitate procurement audit, and do all that
is necessary to ensure that all procurements are carried out expeditiously
and efficiently and free of wasteful expenditures, fraud, omissions, and
errors ; - Provide information and documentation related
to procurement as required by relevant authority ; - Serve as Secretary to the tender
committee ; - Performing any other task as may be assigned
by Supervisor ;
