We seek qualified candidates for the position of Senior Technical Officer, Capacity Building in Gaborone, Botswana.

Responsibilities include:
• Provide overall strategic guidance and coordination in organizational development activities for civil society organizations across the project.
• Interact with national, district and civil society organizations to strengthen capacity of HIV/AIDS service delivery organizations.
• Provide technical oversight to programs and institutions.
• Develop strategies and tools for the design and implementation of specific technical components.
• Conduct analysis of program implementation to identify areas of weakness or opportunity vis a vis the appropriate technical strategy and guidelines.
• Develop capacity building and organizational development work plans in conjunction with project partners.
• Analyze assessment findings.
• Prepare reports and papers summarizing capacity building results.
• Ensure that implementation of CSO capacity building plans adheres to the appropriate global strategy.
• Provide leadership and team building at the project level.

Minimum Experience and Education Requirements:
BS/BA in public health or related field, and 7-9 years relevant experience in HIV/AIDS service organization with capacity building component or MS/MA/MPH in public health or related field, and 5-7 years relevant experience in HIV/AIDS service organization with capacity building component. Familiarity with GOB National Capacity Building policies and plans. Written and oral presentation skills in English and Setswana desirable. Familiarity with the political, social, economic, and cultural context of working in Botswana.
