Effect of Global Warming on Man and His Properties

The destruction of the ozone layer in
the atmosphere by gases which has brought about global warming resulting to an
increase of cancer carbon dioxide and methane are among gases emitted into the
atmosphere during gas flaring; they are pollutants that act as a pungent
irritant (gas on the upper respiratory tracts). Under moderate explosive could
lead to the damage of the respiratory system. The depletion of the ozone layer
by gases such as methane, CO2, NO2, Nitrogen oxide, leads
to more ultra violet radiation from the sun which consequently results in skin
cancer. Report indicated that cardiovascular diseases are more likely to occur
in people that are exposed to severe weather stress from extreme heat (Olorunda
et al., 2007). In addition, in many
areas of the tropics; a large number of reasons are still subjected to diseases
which are related closely to the influence of the hot humid climate.

Global warming aggravate diseases such
as bronchitis and asthma illness commonly known as “internal heat” is caused by
long exposure to radiant heat from gas flares and high incident of birth
defects and cancer is also associated to increasing amount of potentially
harmful gas. Particles being emitted into the atmosphere result to damage of
human health and environment thereby causing acute respiratory tract infection
in the developing world that can easily result to ill health condition and
death (Olojoba, 2009). The world glacier monitoring services has followed the
melting and slow retreat of mountain glaciers all over the past hundred years;
consistent with an increase in green house gases (G.H.G.S) another impact is
the thinning of polar ice. Recent work has documented large decrease in the
thickness and extent of sea ice in the arctic .the polar ice cap has lost
nearly 20% of its volume in the last two decades and permafrost has been
melting all over the polar region leading to the effects below.
