The goal of
the HRH Program is to strengthen the health workforce necessary to create a
high quality, sustainable healthcare system in Rwanda. The HRH Program aims to
significantly increase the quantity and quality of Rwandan clinicians and
health sciences educators including: medical doctors, nurses and midwives, and
health managers. This substantial scale-up will be achieved with the assistance
of an unprecedented consortium of 14 highly ranked US institutions. Each US
school is sending full-time faculty members to Rwanda to help improve teaching,
research, curriculum development, and mentorship over a 7-year period.
