world.  Currently operating in 14 different countries BBOXX has already
electrified 325,000 people. 
We are aiming to make that number 20
million by the year 2020.  Unlike other off-

grid solar providers, BBOXX
controls the whole process from design to manufacture to distribution and
financing.

JOB
DESCRIPTION – Sales Trainer

  3. Purpose:
    As
    BBOXX expands, we will be hiring large numbers of Sales Agents.  This
    requires nearly constant training.  The Sales Trainer’s primary job
    will be to evaluate and train new Sales Agents, and conduct refresher
    trainings for existing Sales Agents.
  1. Job’s
    Responsibilities
  • Conducting,
    coordinating and implementing the academy training program for sales
    agents. The training components will be geared towards new sales agents
    hired, existing sales agents, and some other sales professionals who seek
    one-on-one assistance
  • Ensuring
    that sales agents are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and behaviors
    required to sell effectively and honestly to BBOXX customers
                                                                         
     
  1. Description
    of tasks
  • Develop
    a training curriculum for new sales agents, in consultation with relevant
    parties within BBOXX and in line with business objectives and processes
  • Recommend
    improvements to the agent training methodology and curriculum
  • Ensure
    BBOXX Sales Agents development needs are identified and gaps closed
  • Plan
    and organize training logisticsfor agents in accordance with the academy
    curriculum, calendar, and budget
  • Lead
    training of new agents, training directly in most cases, and involving
    others where needed
  • Lead
    refresher trainings of existing agents, liaising with sales management and
    other relevant parties to decide priority topics for these trainings
  • Design
    and carry out new role plays and practical exercises to help agents
    practice the material
  • Ensure
    that sales agents understand and feel the vision of the business: what we
    want to achieve and also see the real commitment within every BBOXX sales
    agents.
  • Provide
    feedback to the country management and the academy team when required
  • Build
    knowledge and a winning culture within the sales agents team
  • Report
    weekly on the activities regarding agent trainings that will be taking
    place
  • Manage
    cash needed for training implementation
  • Train
    sales managers about sales management
  1. Person
    Specification
We
are looking for someone who is an effective communicator, someone who is able
to stimulate and motivate others, a good candidate has:
  • A
    bachelor degree with 2 years working experience

    as a trainer or training officer in a business industry (ideally in sales)
    or minimum 5 years working experience with a high school diploma.
  • Prior
    work experience in Sales
    : You had a sales target and
    earned some or all of your income through commission or bonus. At minimum
    you need to have trained people earning commissions instead of fixed
    salary. Sales agents are independent people who earn commissions, these
    people need to earn more and more day to day. You will need to know best
    practices for earning more. You will need to inspire with successful
    stories and inspirations.
  • A
    persuasive teaching style
    : You are able to communicate a
    training material, BBOXX policies, programs and systems dedicated for
    sales agents by commanding all the attention from the trainees, involving
    them and helping them to understand. Sometimes you will be using
    interesting role plays.
  • The
    ability towork collaboratively and consultatively
    :
    You will be involved during the design and update of sales training
    materials, and also be expected to contribute alternative training methods
    if expected outcomes are not seen. You will need to come up with new and
    different methods of training sales people as the need arrives, which are
    able to catch their attention and create team spirit.
  • A
    willingness to travel in rural areas
    : Sales agents
    work in remote places of the country where people need electricity. While
    trainings planned on the academy calendar will be executed in central
    locations in the different regions where BBOXX operates, you will often
    need to travel alongside agents in rural areas to understand their role
    and help with field training
  • Proficiency
    in PowerPoint and MS Office:
    You will be giving new
    trainings/refreshers using PowerPoint;thus you should know how to use it
    to create effective visual presentations, and present using it as an aid.
