This position is principally responsible for the management of HIS which has recently transitioned to a scanned medical record. Additionally they will provide support and direction to the newly restructured EH FOI service. They will be an active member of Eastern Health’s Health Information Services Management team. This team consists of Senior HIS Managers from Sites within Eastern Health. Input and advice will be sought to help shape the strategic direction of Health Information Services. Recent implementations of HealthSMART Clinicals, Symphony, BOS, CPF and Global Patient identifier are helping to shape an electronic health record and HIS service delivery.
Previous experience as a Health Information Manager is essential to fulfil the requirements of the position. The successful applicant will need to possess excellent communication and organisational skills, be self motivated, work effectively in a team environment and able to implement change with reduced risk to service delivery.
Applicants must hold a Degree in Health Information Management (or equivalent) and be eligible for full membership of HIMAA.
