Eligibility:-Candidates should have a PhD degree or equivalent as well as academic qualifications equivalent to those obtained by holding a position as a Senior Researcher.
-The preferred candidate has a broad knowledge of epidemiology with a proven record on contribution to the development of the epidemiological discipline.
-The candidate should have internationally recognized scientific qualifications and a record of research achievements evidenced by international collaborations and authorships in high impact journals.
-Teaching qualifications (pre- and postgraduate level) will be an advantage. Knowledge of modern food animal production in a European setting is necessary.
-Documented management and collaboration skills at a high level, as well as the ability to inspire, motivate and supervise researchers within and across scientific disciplines are essential, as is a proven fund raising record, innovative achievements (e.g. patents), and a high publication rate.
