OVERVIEW
Hope and Homes for Children is changing
the world. Our mission is to be the catalyst for the global eradication of
institutional care of children. Why? Because institutional care causes severe
psychological, emotional and biological damage to children, as well as higher
levels of abuse and mortality. Our work is unique — from closing institutions
and prevention, to providing alternative family-based care, developing the
capability of our partners and working with governments to reform child
protection. We are internationally recognised as leading experts in what we do
and we believe we can achieve our mission within our lifetime.
