The area of the study was limited to
Afiesere Town in Ughelli North local Government Area of Delta state. In
estimation, Afiesere community has a population of two thousand, seven hundred
and thirty four persons (NPC, 2006). The community is made up of three quarters
which are Okwarho, Ehe and Urhie. The main occupation of the people of Afiesere
community is farming, petty trading and dredging activities. The indigenous
language of the people is Urhobo, but due to the presence of many
non-indigenes, English language especially pidgin is also used as a means of
communication.
