Star/ Delta Transformation

This transformation can be easily done by using
equations (i), (ii) and (iii) given above. Multiplying (i) and (ii), (ii) and
(iii), (iii) and (i) and adding them together and then simplifying them, we get

 

















From the figure above, total circuit resistance
= 20.6 + 6 + 5
= 31.6Ω
Hence I = 30/31.6
            =
0.95A

Determine the resistance between the terminals A
and B of the network shown in the figure below using delta to star
transformation
