Head of Health Programmes – CHAM (Christian Health
Association of Malawi), Grade: CM2, Dept: Health Programmes, Reports to :
Executive Director
To provide all overall leadership in the planning and management of health care
service delivery in CHAM. Ensuring CHAM health facilities are providing
cost effective pro-poor quality services and are adhering to public health
policies and national regulatory requirements
Proven skills in management, staff, supervision, leadership and networking,
Knowledge of strategic planning, administrative and financial management, Good
communication skills, both written and oral, Proven track record in managing
donor-funded projects
Programme delivery and leadership, Resource mobilisation, utilisation and
reporting, Capacity building in health care management and delivery, Advocacy,
networking and partnership building, Deputise the Executive Director in his/her
absence
First Degree in Medicine, Nursing or health related field obtained from a
recognised institution, Masters degree in Health Services Management, Public
Health, Nursing, Medicine or any relevant field with 3 yrs experience, Proven
experience in management of health programmes in resource poor setting,
