Purpose of The Job
The Dean will provide leadership for effectively and efficiently
fulfilling BA ISAGO’s research and innovation goals by creating an environment conducive
to intellectual and research growth.
The
primary responsibilities of the Director will include
- Responsibility for the quality, academic
integrity and structure of graduate instructions within the guidelines and
regulations established by the University Charter - Promoting the academic strength of all
graduate programmes by supporting the educational and career success of
its graduate students. - Providing academic leadership for the
development of new graduate programmes as required by the industry. - Promoting and facilitating leading-edge
research, including collaborative and interdisciplinary research in areas
related to the strategic goals of the University. - Working with all University Faculties to
develop integrated graduate training programmes which include original
research, taught coursework, generic skills training, etc. - Representing and seeking to strengthen the
identity of the School, both within and outside of BA ISAGO University, by
contributing to strategic input within University.
Qualification
and Experience
- A PhD qualification in the candidate’s own
field of study. - A minimum of 10 years’ experience in higher
education preferably in teaching or senior management post. - Research publications in refereed journals or
assessed equivalents which must merit international recognition. - Previous supervisory experience.
- Ability to effectively communicate in person,
in writing and be able to speak publicly. - Should possess high energy, attention to
detail, and the ability to organize effectively
