Eden Scott’s client, a market leader in their field in the UK and Europe, has a permanent opportunity for a Web Applications Developer to join their growing team. This role will involve development of the company’s legacy systems in VB6 and ASP.net but will then change to Ruby development after approx 1 year once this work has been completed.
This role will involve the full development lifecycle from requirements gathering through to design, development and testing.

They are looking for a talented, passionate and enthusiastic developer with the following skills and may also consider a recent graduate:
* VB6 and ASP.net
* Solid object oriented programming skills
* RDBMS preferably SQL Server
* HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax
Other desirable skills include:
* Experience of Agile Development with XP, Scrum or similar
* Test driven development
* Version Control with Subversion, CVS or similar
* ASP.NET and Windows Forms applications
* Persistence and application frameworks (e.g. NHibernateSpring.Net)
