Position:
Lecturers (2)

University
of Rwanda/College of Science and Technology (UR-CST) would like to recruit
minimum 2 lecturers in the School of Mining and Geology. Applicants must
possess the following requirements:

PhD
holder in Mining or a PhD holder in Geology from a recognized higher
learning institution;
Demonstrated
ability to pursue own research

Main
duties and responsibilities:

developing
and implementing new methods of teaching to reflect changes in research;
designing,
preparing and developing teaching materials;
setting
and marking examinations;
supporting
students through a pastoral/ advisory role;
undertaking
personal research projects and actively contributing to the institution’s
research profile;
writing
up research grant proposals;
supervising
students’ research activities; representing the iinstitution at
professional conferences and seminars, and contributing to these as
necessary;

Establishing
collaborative links outside the university with industrial, commercial and
public organisations.
