Securities Brokerage and, Financial Advisory. Currently, UAP Group has twelve
(12) businesses operating in Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan, Rwanda and the
Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), and is concluding a transaction to enter
the Tanzania market.
In order to execute its ambitious growth strategy, Union Insurance Rwanda
Limited would like to recruit a dedicated team of ambitious, focused and high
performing professionals for the following key roles:
BRANCH and AGENCY DEVELOPMENT MANAGERS
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Branch & Agency Development
Managers will manage the operations of the Branches and ensure that the set
targets both in production and number of Direct Sales Force (DSF) and
independent agents and direct clients are achieved.
Principal Accountabilities
• Formulate long term and short term strategic plan for the Branch in line with
the Company´s strategic goals;
• Selection, recruitment, training and management of the Company´s Direct Sales
Agents;
• Set targets for each agent both for renewal and new business and monitor
performance on a monthly basis to ensure volume targets are met;
• Engage and participate actively in advertising, promotion and public
relations campaigns aimed at actualizing the Company´s PR and Communication
Plan and build/position the UAP brand and image in the market place;
• Marketing and promotion of Company´s products;
• Identify social responsibility activities in the region for consideration;
• Develop a rewards program to motivate the Direct Sales Force to achieve
projected sales.
Qualifications and Skills
• University Degree in Commerce, Economics, Education, Finance or any other
business related field;
• ACII qualification or equivalent;
• Qualifications in Sales & Marketing;
• Minimum 5 years´ experience in Marketing in a reputable General Insurance
Company, Insurance Braking Firm or Bank;
• Qualifications in Training and Development will be an added advantage;
• Good administrative and supervisory skills;
• Good Computer skills including in proficiency in MS Word, Excel and
PowerPoint;
• Ability to switch between a trainer and a business coach;
• Assertiveness and self-drive;
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
