The National Post Office (NPO) seeks to
hire, on short term contract, two (2) persons to assist in Debt Recovery of
long term ove

rdue accounts.

  1. Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director
of the Finance Unit, the Debt Recovery Agent’s mission is to perform the
following tasks:
·         Contact identified debtors to obtain payment
commitment;
·         Contact effective contact with debtors who defaulted
on their agreed payment plan;
·         Write
remind letters where appropriate and/or  necessary ;
·         Conduct
field and office-based recovery activities;
·         Maintain a high level of confidentiality;
·         Treat
customers claims / billing in coordination with the departments concerned
·         Analyze
customer accounts and ensure their accuracy;
·         Maintain accurate records of contacts, transactions
and progress made during the recovery process;
·         Achieve
recovery targets given to him/her  by his/her supervisor;
·         Provide effective reporting as and when required;
·         Develop a positive working relationship with the other
NPO staff members;
·         Be prepared to work beyond 5:00 pm and even Saturday
morning if required.

Required qualifications and skills
Qualifications
·         A2
or higher degree in
Business
studies
, Administration and Law or related field;
·          Experience in a debt recovery role or Call Centre.
Skills
·         Ability
to communicate well orally and in writing in Kinyarwanda, French and fluent in
English;
·         Strong
interpersonal, communication and reporting skills;
·         Methodical and well organised;
·         Ability to calmly but firmly deal with recalcitrant
customers;
·         Confident with excellent customer skills;




·        
Strong
negotiation skills and problem solving ability;
